Remote Control Toolkit: Mesh Network Battlefield Effects

We offer a completely deployable and field ready remote control mesh network system that training units can carry with them and use to control battlefield effects tailored for diverse training scenarios, such as urban operations, field training, or drone impact simulation.


The toolkit includes:


  • Dedicated Remote Control Units. Battery-powered network device used to control Simulated Battlefield Effects remotely over the network. Each Controller displays available simulators and their status in real-time. No tablets or phones required.
  • Repeater/Receiver Units. Battery-powered network devices, used to activate simulated Battlefield Effects remotely over the network. Each Receiver also functions as a signal Repeater with digital input/output capabilities, allowing use of multiple external trigger types used to synchronize events in tactical scenarios.
  • Smart Devices. Battlefield effects simulator with embedded mesh network connectivity and digital input/output capabilities, allowing use of multiple external trigger types and accessories to synchronize and enhance events in tactical scenarios

History

The OMNINET MESH NETWORK was originally developed in 2015 to test and validate emerging concepts and integrate technologies at the U.S. Army's Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment (AEWE). Success at small unit level in support of Multi-Domain Operations lead to the commercialization of the OMNINET MESH NETWORK in 2019, resulting in an advanced Command and Control System for Battlefield Effects.


The OMNINET MESH NETWORK has been field-tested and proven across a range of real-world training environments—from dense, complex terrain to urban environments with buildings and interference. The system is produced and supported by MSFX USA under an exclusive licensing and manufacturing agreement, and been delivered through direct government procurement, foreign military sales, and integration into third-party training systems used in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
