Pat honorably Served 31 years in the US Army Infantry, and 6 years in the Iowa Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer. Pat has multiple combat tours including Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan and. Other key missions include; Expeditionary Force in Kuwait, advisor tour in Mali, Africa, and overseas tours Germany, Korea, and Kosovo. Pat speaks German as a second language. Pat's awards and decorations include: The Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (2), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (7), and Army Achievement Medal (7). The Combat Infantry Badge, Combat Action Badge. Pat’s Military education includes the Sergeants Major Academy, ANCOC, BNCOC, Bradley Master Gunner School, US Army Sniper School, US Army Drill Sergeants School, US Army Airborne School, US Army Motorcycle Safety Instructors Course.
